Methodology, screening bands & limitations
Operating margin = (revenue − operating costs) ÷ revenue. Current ratio = current assets ÷ current liabilities. Cash cover = available cash ÷ monthly cash paid out; it excludes future receipts and is not forecast runway. Revenue change compares the entered months.
Illustrative screening bands: operating margin below 0% signals an operating loss; 0% to below 10% a narrow margin. Current ratio below 1 signals an asset gap; 1 to below 1.5 a limited buffer. Cash cover below 1 month signals a small buffer; 1 to below 3 months warrants monitoring. These are generic discussion prompts, not industry benchmarks or validated risk predictions. Results above a band do not establish financial health.
Questions are self-reported and assessed individually. “Not sure” creates a question to investigate, not a negative score. Zero denominators show “Not available”. Outputs do not determine creditworthiness or solvency and are not investment, tax or legal advice. Read the disclaimer.
